Star UMC is a Lighthouse Congregation of The North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church, in partnership with The United Methodist Collective and the Office of New Faith Communities. We welcome everyone! Please join our worship!

The town of Star is known as the geographic center of North Carolina as measured via satellite. Being located in the center makes us easily accessible from any area of our beautiful state and beyond.

We have a theme for each month. We pick each month’s concept and we celebrate and worship together for the theme. For example, we celebrated Disability Pride Month for July. We offered a fellowship meal to celebrate the diversity from disability and offered all the donations from the meal directly to the related ministry. From September through October, we celebrate Creation Care Month.
